2008 Pontiac G8

This G8 is sweeeeet! The owner has been taking fabulous care of her, but a recent storm had dropped a few small branches on the hood, which left a scuff mark. There was also a little tree sap and some bird droppings (which can eat thru clearcoat quickly). So he decided to have the car detailed, and moved to safer storage.

Since this car didn't have any heavy oxidation, we recommended skipping the more aggressive buffing and moving strait to polishing with a mild glaze. It's always our policy to use the least-aggressive treatment possible to restore the paint's luster, this saves more clearcoat for the future. Since the owner wants to keep this car until it becomes a classic, it's important to conserve his clearcoat as much as possible.
Our clay treatment removed the tree sap and overspray from the hood, but the tree branch scratches required a couple of extra passes with the orbital buffer.

Everythings perfect inside -- hardly a single stain or scuff.

Our crew for the day. These guys love sports cars and thoroughly enjoyed doing a full detail. Sam (the cool dude in shades) has been detailing for three years now. Luke is a recent addition to our crew, and he is learning quickly.

Luke is putting the finishing touches here, removing the last bit of carnuba wax

Now that's what we call shiny!

Looks wet now. Very high gloss shine

These alloy rims are actually clearcoated, so instead of a metal polish, we treated them as a painted surface. After washing, we hand polished them with a mild glaze and then waxed them. The wax will help the rims repel brake dust, and protect the clearcoat.

We put in some extra effort to get deep inside behind the spokes.
